Art Projects.

IM is an avid supporter of the Arts and Creative industries, believing that Culture plays an essential role in healthy societies. We view art as a critical ingredient for vibrant communities and robust social ecosystems. IM takes a distinctive approach to art projects, which includes our embodied design methodology, alongside traditional and unconventional methods of commissioning and presenting art. Our Art projects reflect our commitment to engaging with and being an active part of the cultural landscape, promoting cultural dialogue and expression, and inspiring new ways of thinking, knowing and understanding.

Dark + Disturbing

Dark+Disturbing is a curatorial and creative project by artist Vernon Ah Kee, rooted in his history of screen printing. This long-form project examines Aboriginal knowledge, identity, and protest, critically examining power structures and providing a platform for the Aboriginal voice.

Art Projects & Presentations

IM commissions and develops presentation opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. We support contemporary and experimental practice that embraces new technologies and critical discourse.

These projects are conceptually driven artworks that utilise digital and analogue formats to critique Australian culture from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective.
